Job Description:
If you are a licensed Optician who believes being a great Optician is much more than selling glasses - someone who listens, pays attention to the little things, and genuinely loves seeing patients thrilled with you, their experience and their new eyewear - we would love to meet you. Technical knowledge can be taught. Genuinely caring about people and going beyond what is expected is a measure of character, and that is what I am looking for in an Optician.

Job Requirements
- A Massachusetts Licensed Optician in good standing.
- NCLE Certified: You must be able to fit contact lenses, evaluate their fit on a slit lamp, train for insertion and removal.
- Professional and dependable.
- Honest, respectful and committed to doing what's right for the patient.
- Strong team player who's willing and able to help wherever needed, including answering phones and performing screenings when necessary.
- Knowledgeable about ophthalmic lenses, frame fitting, measurements, prism, prescription analysis, adjustments and troubleshooting.
- Must be able to analyze prescriptions, listen to patient's needs and wants to determine the best lens for the patient.
- Able to fabricate lenses and do lab work accurately, including drilled rimless.
- Highly attentive to detail.
- Warm, personable, compassionate and approachable.
- Excellent listener and communicator.
- Comfortable educating patients and making recommendations.
- Someone who takes pride in their work and is willing to continually learn.
- Business casual dress and proper personal hygiene are a must.

Job Responsibilities
- Always provide a warm, welcoming and highly personalized patient experience
- Listen carefully to each patient, ask thoughtful questions to understand their visual needs, lifestyle, occupation, hobbies and personal preferences.
- Educate patients about lens designs, materials, coatings and other options in a way that's easy to understand.
- Assist patients in frame selection while considering fit, comfort, prescription requirements, lifestyle and personal style.
- Ensure eyewear is properly fitted and adjusted before taking accurate measurements.
- Check completed eyewear for accuracy, quality and fit before dispensing.
- Develop genuine relationships with patients that encourage trust, loyalty and long term retention.
- Work collaboratively with our optometrist and staff.
